Something we want always to be said about our congregation: “This is a place where people can come to a greater understanding of God because we teach and follow His Word.” We want always to offer good Bible classes Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. For that to continue to, we need constantly to be training teachers. Teachers play a vital role in the wellbeing of our congregation. Those who go the extra mile to prepare biblically sound Bible classes for any age are doing the church a great service. Teachers are listed alongside evangelists (ministers) and pastors (elders) as individuals assigned by Jesus, “for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;” Ephesians 4:12. Paul referred to himself as a teacher of the true faith in 1 Timothy 2:7. Jesus was commonly addressed as “Teacher.” Of the 52 times the word “teacher” is used in the New Testament, 46 of them are referring to Jesus. To teach is to be Christ-like. While the home should be the primary location for instruction in the Christian faith, … Again, the HOME should be the primary source for Christian instruction. Our Bible classes support what parents are teaching and help children acquire a spiritually based understanding of why they each need their own personal relationship with Jesus and how to maintain that relationship when they leave home to start families of their own. 2026 is just a few weeks away. As we grow, we’re gonna need more good teachers. You should either be a teacher now or training to become one. Hebrews 5:12 says, “In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers.” When we are babes in Christ, we need to be fed. As we grow up, we learn to feed others. We can teach you how to be a teacher. Teaching God’s Word is a privilege. Ask God to use you to help instruct others in learning the Bible as we all spread the gospel.
